Spring Break

Do you want to know about spring break?  I'll tell you what it is like.
Spring break is when the whole school is closed for one whole week.  You can visit family and friends.  You also can play outside and play sports.  I like spring break because it is one whole week with no school!

Assembly Lines

Have you ever heard of an assembly line?  Do you know what it is?  If you don't, I'll tell you how it works and what it is.
As assembly line is something that helps people make lots of different things.  It works when a few people work together to make those things quickly.  At home, my family has an assembly line to do the dishes.  It is with my mom, my sister, and me.  My mom washes the silverware , while my sister dries them.  My sister gives them to me and I put them away.  If your family works together to do something, that is an assembly line.

Nature

           Tadpoles and Frogs
Do you want to know how tadpoles and frogs are alike and different?  I will tell you.
First, I will tell you how they are alike.  Frogs and tadpoles both can move in water.  They both have teeth.  Both need to breathe and eat to survive.
Now, I will tell you how they are different.  Tadpoles have tails and gills to breathe underwater, unlike frogs which do not have tails and have lungs to breathe on land.  Tadpoles eat algae, but frogs eat insect and worms.  I hope you learned a lot about tadpoles and frogs, because I sure did!

Math is Fun!

Math is fun to me because we learned about solid figures.  Solid figures have flat surfaces, edges, and vertices.  I learned that a cube and a rectangular prism have the same number of flat surfaces, edges, and vertices.  I liked learning how to find each one and then count them.  That is why I think math is Fun!

Plants

In science, my class learned about plants.  We even planted plants.  They were Brassica plants.  Some plants got bright yellow flowers, but some died.  We watched a movie about plants.  I learned that an apple tree can live over 100 years!  I also learned that some sunflowers can grow taller than adults!  I think science is interesting because plants are in it.
